What is the West World Mobile Game?
The West World mobile game is a new mobile game, similar to Fallout Shelter, that takes place in the future and ties into the HBO West World TV show.
The game follows the premise of the show, with the player taking on as manager of the park and reporting into many of the show's characters, including the brilliant but conflicted park owner, Dr. Robert Ford.
Players are sent into a desert environment and instructed to create their park. On the literal surface, players build a theme park with saloons, brothels and other recreational environments for tourists to visit. But, underneath the park lies the operations center, which the player can build out and create additional rooms to create new host machines, repair broken host robots and even carry out more diabolical tasks like upgrading bots intelligence and sentience or auditing the robots for errors in their programming or learning.
Are there in-game purchases or gems?
Yes, but for the most part you don't need to purchase anything to play the game.
- There's gold, which you earn by having hosts completing interactions with tourists
- There's jewels, which DELOS (the company that owns the park) will give you from time to time after completing missions or randomly hitting achievements
- And host cores, which you will need to create new hosts, which can then be used to carry out missions
While you don't have to buy any of these early on in the game, the game starts to drag out a bit and requires you to either wait it out or use jewels to speed up the loading of missions.
